With extensive market knowledge and strong experience in implementing hundreds of projects across the country, the AMDI Group is proud to be one of the pioneering Vietnamese consulting firms in expanding the scope of consulting services to other regional countries such as Lao People's Democratic Republic, Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia, etc. The AMDI Group has been confirming its position in the consulting industry with hundreds of awarded consulting contracts of hundreds of thousands to millions of US dollars, such as:

  • The Fourth Greater Mekong Subregion Corridor Towns Development Project: implemented from February 2019 to February 2025, funded by the ADB in Lao PDR with a total budget of $3,514,000;
  • Greater Mekong Subregion Tourism Infrastructure for Inclusive Growth Project: implemented from June 2016 to April 2020, funded by ADB in Vietnam with a total budget of 2,100,000 USD;
  • Sustainable Tourism and Competitiveness Project Vietnam: implemented from May 2018 to May 2022, funded by the Swiss Department of Economic Cooperation - SECO with a total budget of 1,200,000 USD;
  • Provision of Technical Assistance for “European trade policy and investment support” Project (EU-MUTRAP): implemented from September 2013 to January 2018, funded by the European Union with a total budget of 1,600,000 EUR.

Research

With the Center for Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change as its core, the AMDI Group was established to research and consult on policy issues, strategies and project implementation for disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation; and research and consult on management measures and activities to raise awareness of disaster risks and develop sustainable livelihoods for people in vulnerable areas. These activities have confirmed the position of a specialized research unit with human potential and modern equipment. The Center for Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change has chaired and participated in many research projects on Climate Change and published a number of typical publications such as:

In recent years, AMDI Group has expanded its research to many other fields such as mathematics, biochemistry, etc., thus, diversified its activities through research cooperation activities with world-famous universities such as University of Kent, University of South London (United Kingdom):

  • Research Project on bringing C. Asiatica compounds forwards as candidates to treat liver cancer, in cooperation with the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, and the University of Kent (2020-2022);
  • Research project “Improving Community Resilience & Sustainability Through Operational Research Capacity Building in Southeast Asia” (Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Indonesia, Malaysia), in cooperation with Research Institutes and universities in the region and the University of Kent (2020-2021);
  • Research project “Optimal investment strategies to minimize flood impact on road structure in Vietnam”, in cooperation with the Transport Development and Strategy Institute and the University of Kent (2018-2019).

Education

The AMDI Group has great strength in designing and organizing training courses. The training courses are designed to satisfy the specific and diverse requirements of the trainees and delivered in a professional learning environment.

 

Consulting - Research - Training

 AMDI Institute organized on-site training on Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) for the Greater Mekong Subregion Corridor Urban Development Project Phase 4 (GMS-4) in Vientiane.

The AMDI Group conducts training needs assessment to ensure that training agendas and materials are designed to meet the actual conditions of customers. At the end of the course, trainees are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to contribute to improving the quality and efficiency of their work. The knowledge, experience and skills of the international trainers are combined with the specific culture and conditions of Vietnam to maximize the effectiveness and circumstances of the course.

Over the years, the AMDI Group has organized many training courses on management, leadership and business administration skills for more than 10,000 leaders and managers of agencies and businesses in the country and have made positive contributions to the development of management science in Vietnam.

In addition, the AMDI Group has considerable experience in organizing special events on the following topics: tourism, trade, disaster management, climate change, etc. with the participation of many stakeholders from the ministries, agencies, donors, international NGOs and community representatives. The AMDI Group has established a network of international and national partners and experts to successfully organize study tours in fields such as vocational training, sustainable tourism, community tourism, healthcare, etc.
